St. Johns County Pet Adoptions & Holding Center (The Pet Center) is a temporary shelter to animals in need of permanent placement in loving homes. The Pet Center provides initial veterinary screenings to the animals in the facility, including the spaying or neutering of cats and dogs adopted from our facility.

Who we are

The Friends of St. Johns County Pet Center support the Saint Johns County Pet Adoption & Holding Center and it's animals in our community.

What we do

• Promote humane care and treatment for all animals that are provided protection by the Pet Center
• Maintain effective working relationships between the volunteers and staff of the Pet Center
• Assist in the finding of suitable homes for animals without guardians
• Educate the public in  animal welfare
• Support and promote spay/neuter programs as a method of animal population control
